Our model of Evade/Lockdown/Engage/Communicate is presented and practiced extensively. Blue Line Solutions follows the philosophy of hands-on training. Our Lockdown drills include Safe Spotting and Cocooning techniques. The Evade section utilizes our Tactical Principles. These drills truly help the participants be better prepared to survive a violent event.
Our Active Threat / Active Shooter training is a full-day course covering three main areas. First, participants learn to evade threats through situational awareness and escape techniques. Next, the Lockdown phase teaches methods to secure and reinforce spaces, with hands-on practice. Finally, the Engage segment discusses self-defense as a last resort, including mindset, legal aspects, and practical drills using everyday items.
The Bomb Recognition and Response Course is a half-day session taught by former Honolulu Police Department bomb technicians. The course is structured into four sections:
Receiving Bomb Threats
Understanding the various forms of bomb threats that may be delivered to a facility.
Working a Telephonic Bomb Threat
A drill that teaches attendees how to handle a phone threat as a team, involving roles such as recording the call, note-taking, and notification.
Recognizing Improvised Explosive Devices (IED)
This section enables participants to be able to identify homemade bombs using inert samples provided by Blue Line Solutions. Attendees will be trained to recognize the appearance and components of these devices to enhance their situational awareness.
Responding to a Located Device
The final section of our IED Training focuses on the RAIN method, which provides a structured approach to dealing with a potential explosive device. This method emphasizes four key actions: Recognize, Avoid, Isolate, and Notify. Participants are trained to identify the signs of an IED, understand h ow to maintain safe distances and protections, ensure that the area is kept clear of individuals, and promptly notify law enforcement with all relevant information.
This course emphasizes teamwork and practical response without using scare tactics.
Our instructors will conduct a practical evaluation of the vulnerabilities surrounding your facility. A presentation is made to point out the concerns and solutions are presented. Evacuation procedures are also reviewed, and advisory points are made.
An Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) is important for organizational preparedness. The EOP outlines procedures for responding to various emergencies, including active threat or active shooter situations, fires, bomb threats, and natural disasters. Blueline Solutions offers assistance in developing, reviewing, or updating EOPs for facilities.
